Question : Somebody mature & NOT disrespectful ; please help me.
Answer:
Ultimately, you have two separate problems. The first one is that your mom suffers from paranoid delusions and is hurting your dad. The second one is that your dad has lost custody over you and can't see you.The first problem sounds like it may be over: your dad is out of the house now, and isn't in contact with your mom.The second problem is also nearing the end. Time will solve it; in a few months, you'll be 18, and then it'll be your decision whether you want to see him. I do not believe that your mom can place a TPO against him on your brother's behalf, unless your brother is an unemancipated adult or something.Until then, you can certainly call some lawyers, tell them your story, and ask if there's a way you can enter an affidavit or petition a judge to have the order lifted that prevents contact. Alternately, you could seek emancipation from your mother, which would grant you legal adult status and at that point I'm fairly sure you could visit your father without there being consequences.Mental illness is a very hard thing, both for the person who suffers from it and from the people whose lives they touch. I wish you the best of luck.
