Question : MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONISTS: Are all U.S. hospitals outsourcing their transcription since the "health care bill"
Has anyone else noticed the phenomena of hospitals suddenly firing all of their transcriptionists and farming out the work to overseas companies (BTW, I've seen their work and it is worth every penny they're paid to type it.- in other words, it's AWFUL) I know medical transcriptionists all over the country who have lost their jobs since obama was sworn into office. The hospitals they worked for suddenly closed down their transcription departments and announced they would be outsourcing their dictation to be transcribed by international, foreign-based, ESL transcription companies. Besides taking away the tax revenue from the local economy where the transcriptionists live, they find themselves trying to support their families on the meager unemployment money they're given. It is apparent to me that obama has set these wheels in motion as part of his "fundamental change", AKA total destruction of our economy, one agency at a time. This is all being done quietly, and secretly, or at least that seems to have been the plan. He's doing all of this before his "health care plan" is anywhere near being a done deal. He seems very confident that it'll be passed, one way or another. Once all of the hospitals are using these mostly overseas, international transcription agencies, all of our medical records information will be available online at any time to any government worker with the password, and any hacker. Are there any other transcriptionists out there who have recently found themselves suddenly unemployed in this situation
Answer:
Well apparently not all of them... there are U.S. MT jobs on the website below.
